Well, brilliant! I think to understand the Simpsons is to grow up, not by age, but by consciousness! How it always corresponds to the historical moment. I am glad that the picture quality has become better. I am glad that the quality of the script has not become worse. I am glad that the characters, although brought to the point of absurdity, in the best traditions of sitcoms, have continued to delight, not annoy, for 29 years, and this requires no hefty skill. Sometimes you just laugh carelessly, sometimes even sad for humanity and this theater of the absurd, but one thing invariably is the subtlety of the scriptwriters.
